DAY 2 of DISNEY:

ANIMAL KINGDOM
On Wednesday, we had some breakfast at our resort and caught the bus to the "Animal Kingdom". It was a wild day!
magic kingdom has their castle, while animal kingdom has their tree of life!
each side of the tree has numerous animals carved into it - i heard that there are over 200 animals on the tree. what do you see?
expedition everest is the rollercoaster inside the mountain - it was terrifying! the rollercoaster actually went BACKWARDS!
after a terrifying ride on expedition everest, we headed over to dinoland for some rides
bobby and the girls went on a spinning rollercoaster, so i chose to sit this ride out!
while waiting in line for the last rollercoaster, bobby asked one of the workers which rides we should do while we are at animal kingdom. without missing a beat, he said we should try the "dinosaur" ride. he was right! it was an adventurous ride!
after all the walking from the day before, sophia was pretty tired. we decided to catch the train in africa and head to over to "rafiki's planet watch"
when we arrived, we got in line to meet chip and dale
dale was so happy that i knew the difference between he and chip, that he persistently shook my hand in thanks :)
after we got our pictures taken, we asked chip and dale which chipmunk was a better dancer - it was quite the dance off!
afterwards, we headed to the petting zoo
livia loved the fish - of course!

after our adventures in africa, we headed back to the bug's life exhibit. we waited in line to see "it's tough to be a bug" 3D show
ready for the 3D show!
we took in some shopping - of course!
after a cool snack, we walked over to asia
in asia, we used our fastpass to see "The Festival of the Lion King" show - it was spectacular!
we sat in the giraffe section
simba looked so real. his body movements looked just like a real lion!
after the show we used our second fastpass to ride on "the kali river rapids". the ride actually says you WILL get wet and MAY get soaked. it wasn't lying! (before)

(after - back) i probably got the most wet...of course! it was a one of our favorite rides, though.

at the end of the day, we used our last fastpass to ride on the "kilimanjaro safari" ride. Each ride consists of a safari ride through the African savanna to see a variety of animals.

when we arrived back at our resort, there were fireworks above the main building. it was a nice way to end our disney vacation!
