happy valentine's day and president's day! bobby surprised the family with a weekend trip to "superior shores" outside of two harbors.

it is hard to tell but sophia became ill right about the time this picture was taken...we spent the remainder of the weekend indoors in our cabin.

the trip and the ride home was definitely memorable...

lately the woods household has been "all abuzz" over the birth of a baby molly fish...

livia and grandpa cannot get enough of that little thing!

FOOD

the last 3 years i have taken bobby on a surprise valentine's getaway for just the two of us. this year he and i tried stillwater's "foodies on foot". basically you walk around the lovely town of stillwater, learning about the history, while stopping in at the local eateries for some delicious delectables and libations. i would highly recommend it! 

this salt lick was expensive...can you read the fine print? it is over 200 million years old!

FUN

with the weather being FRIGID, we decided to take matters into our own hands and stopped off at the local indoor pool. the girls had a great time!

 my camera kept fogging up, since it came from -30 degrees outside to 80 degrees inside...cool shot, anyways!

i sure hope we can do some more swimming soon...outdoors maybe?

what to do...

so, what is there to do when it is -100 degrees outside? well, we try to keep busy and this month it seems like we have been stuck inside A LOT. Here are some of the inside adventures we had these past few weeks. Enjoy!

 these are only a few of her many creations she has made on her loom...i guess we could call her "Livia the Loom Lover"
