merry christmas!

i love this christmasy time of year! We had a memorable December filled with lots of fun, family, and friends. Since we had so many wonderful experiences, I am going to need to separate our fun into a few different installments.
Enjoy!
(CHRISTMAS PART 1)
---
VISIT FROM SANTA:
the girls were just finishing up their nightly baths when Santa arrived at our house with some candy canes and chocolate Santas. I have never seen the girls move more quickly when they heard that doorbell ring! It was such a special visit from such a magical man.
Thank you, Santa!
(bobby and i even got an adult gift from santa, too - it was wine - get your mind out of the gutter!)

---
CHRISTMAS EVE AT THE SEDERHOLMS:
The Withers Family jumped in the family vehicle and headed to Elk River for Christmas Eve with the Withers, Sederholm, and Wertish families.

---
BREAKOUT GAME:
What do you do when you have a game that you want to try out at school? Well, you use your family as guinea pigs first!
A Breakout Game is a series of clues that lead the players to a variety of codes to unlock the locks attached to the box.
This Breakout game centered around the movie, "A Christmas Story". I think everyone had fun!
jill and joseph working with the letter and number decoder
sophia, livia, elana, and sharon (terry is also in the background) working on the crossword puzzle
susan and bobby working on the scrambled letters
jill working on a lock
My family only needed 1 hint and were able to breakout with 20 minutes to spare!

CHRISTMAS EVE NIGHT
it has become a tradition for the girls to get matching pajamas on christmas eve before bedtime. as usual, we leave cookies for santa (he told us that chocolate chip are his favorite) and 9 carrots (for dasher, dancer, prancer, vixen, comet, cupid, donder, blitzen, and rudolph, of course!)

christmas eve is also the night where we have to say good-bye to our elf, sam, and his reindeer friend, jingle. can you see them in the tree waiting for santa?
merry christmas to all and to all a good night!
