the day FINALLY arrived...we closed on our new house! We were so blessed and fortunate to have a home to live in while we were searching for our forever home. My parents graciously opened their home to us so we could live with them until we found THE house. Funny enough, the day we closed on our house on Carlisle Street, we put in an offer on this house. The people had not put a "For Sale" sign on their property because they heard through friends that we were looking AND it was just 2 houses away from my parents. How awesome is that?
Well, we closed on July 7th (07-07-17...I chose that day because I thought all the sevens HAD to be good luck!). We closed on the house but did not officially move in until 2 weeks later. Here is the transformation into making it "our casa"....

since there was not an official sign in the front yard, the girls made a "Sold" sign for our new house!
time to get painting!
the first week after closing we had our flooring removed and added luxury vinyl planks throughout the main level (carpet removed above)

Wow! This is just the beginning...there are so many other projects that we want to undertake, but I think we will take a break and enjoy our new house for a bit!

PERKS OF OUR NEW HOUSE:
the neighbor's cat, biscuit, has taken a liking to us...
okay, we have taken a liking to him, too!
we get to babysit, maddy and help out grandma pam and grandpa mike
the laundry ALMOST always gets into the basket in our new house ;)
a cozy place to hang out around the fire table
our new yard is yielding beautiful colors!
we finally have a mantel AND a fireplace...i can't wait until christmas!
the "woods" are steps away from our new house!
