august is such a bittersweet month...my birthday - sweet!, summer winding down - bitter, spending time with family - sweet, counting down the days until our girls begin one grade older - bitter.
One of the delights in August is the opportunity to spend time with my mom and go shopping with just the two of us. I call it "school shopping", even though I am the teacher and no longer a traditional "student". I sure love spending the day with her. Then, I get to spend the day with my girls on our annual mommy/daughter days. We sure had fun doing some new activities together! Here are some pictures from all the mommy/daughter days...

livia and i also went out to eat and did a little shopping before painting. While we were eating, I asked Livia different questions about school, friends, and herself. I asked her, "What do you like most about yourself?" She thought about it for a second and replied, "I like me."

all of us had memorable days together. I am truly blessed have such a kind and wonderful mother, as well as two beautiful, spunky daughters! God is good!
