bobby and i recently celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary...with the kids in tow, bobby surprised us along the way and throughout the weekend. just one of the many reasons why i love him so much!
throughout the weekend the girls and i were given poems and clues to our next destination...here we had to play hangman to find out that we were going to fort snelling!
the weekend was devoted to WWII reenactments and history
this old car had an ash tray in the back seat, no seat belts, and crank windows...all things the girls had never seen before in a vehicle!
the soldiers were getting the kids involved (livia and sophia are the last 2 on the right)
gun training...
our next clue lead us to the embassy suites where we had unlimited access to drinks and snacks for FREE (okay, so they weren't "free", since it came with the room, but it sure was awesome to type in the number without any money in the machine!)
we were on the 10th floor
a little pool time...
we went out to acapulco's for our anniversary dinner (thanks laurie and owen for coming over to see us!)
sunday was our actual anniversary, so i gave bobby my gift to him...LOTS of dozen gifts!
a quick stop off at ikea
our next clue sent us to the blue door pub in st. paul for their famous blucy burger...
our last clue lead us to the saints baseball game in st. paul (bill murray is an owner of the team)...
livia and mud-donna
sophia going "hog" wild
gert the flirt had everyone sing "happy anniversary" to us at the baseball game
it was a fun weekend filled with lots of LOVE, adventure, and fun...just like the past 12 years of our marriage.
i love you, bobby!
